Bonita Hampton Smith is a businesswoman, inspirational speaker, transformational teacher, and published author. Her first book, Echoes of My Soul, a collection of poems first published in 2006, is scheduled for re-release in Fall 2024.  The children’s book Loving Skin We’re In is the 1st Adventure of an upcoming series from Linzy Binzy: Around the World with Friends. This first adventure was inspired by the author’s niece, Lindsey Elizabeth Hampton, and her deep desire for children everywhere to truly love the skin they are in. As a little girl, growing up in a small rural town, Marianna, Arkansas, Bonita didn’t always see her inner beauty or love the skin she was in. Her journey to self-love and acceptance was not an easy one. Because of her own journey, Bonita wanted to write a book to encourage every child to love and celebrate the skin they are in. This became even more important when her bonus daughter shared with her, that she was being teased at school because of her beautiful dark mocha skin.

Bonita is a daughter, sister, aunt, servant, and friend. She currently resides in Grayson, Georgia with her husband Dr. Marvin Smith, and her bonus daughters, Makayla and Mariah.
